Hyper/Strong:

Using Pilates to Build Strength in Hypermobile Bodies

A Pilates-based strength program designed specifically for hypermobile bodies — including EDS, HSD, and POTS. Built by a physical therapist who actually understands why everything else hasn't worked.

Your body is hypermobile, not "falling apart..."

Is this you?

You have tried everything-

Nothing quite fits

👎Traditional PT made things worse:

Generic strengthening programs don't account for how a hypermobile nervous system processes movement — and you've felt that.

🔥You flare up when you try to exercise:

You're not being dramatic. Research confirms hypermobile bodies experience significantly more post-exercise pain than others.

🩺Doctors dismiss or don't understand:

Years of fragmented care and being told your symptoms aren't real. You know your body better than they do.

💪You want to get strong — not just "manage"

You're done with gentle and passive. You want a program that actually builds capacity.

Strength is possible- with the right map!

Hyper/Strong gives you an 8-week, step-by-step framework to build real strength — starting with your deep stabilizers and progressively loading your whole body — using Pilates principles adapted for connective tissue hypermobility. Every exercise includes watch-for cues specific to hypermobile joints. Every week builds on the last. And you'll never be left wondering if something is safe for your body.

This isn't about being careful forever.

It's about building the foundation so you can stop being so vigilant that you miss out on life.

Imagine a life with less pain, more stability, and newfound strength.

You feeling confident to lift your kid or just reach down to feed the dog first thing in the morning.

You can travel without worrying about being stuck or in pain, unable to enjoy your trip

You can participate in that work event without wondering if you might be too exhausted to finish the day.

You know you can handle what you need to do for any task that comes your way.

Why this program is different

  • Designed from the ground up for hypermobile connective tissue — not adapted from generic programming

  • Addresses the nervous system, not just muscles and joints

  • Explains the why behind every exercise choice

  • POTS and co-morbidity-aware throughout — not an afterthought

  • Teaches you to read your own body, not just follow a script

  • Progressive overload that accounts for the longer recovery windows hypermobile bodies need

  • Strength as the goal — not symptom management

This program was created by a licensed physical therapist specializing in hypermobility and connective tissue disorders. Not a generalist. Not someone who read about EDS once. Someone who has worked with this population specifically — and knows exactly where the standard advice breaks down.

The curriculum is grounded in current evidence on hypermobile exercise response, including research on pain sensitization, post-exercise flares, proprioceptive differences, and the neuromuscular retraining that actually produces lasting results.

This isn't gentle movement for the sake of being gentle. It's a strategic, progressive program with a clear destination: a stronger, more stable, more capable body.

Nancy, 54

"I am calmer than I have ever been in my life. Understanding how h-EDS and dysautonomia impact my nervous system and the ADHD connection allowed me to adopt a strategy that will minimize my time in "fight-or-flight". I better understand how movement and exercise play such a key role in this. Jennifer has so much knowledge and understanding of what it is to live in a hypermobile body and is passionate about helping others. I highly recommend Hyper/Strong!"
