Feel Stronger, More Stable & Truly Seen
Come find your people!
Do you suspect you are hypermobile?
What does it matter?
What does that mean for your health?
And what do you need to do NOW?
It means you need to stop stretching (pssst…it’s your nervous system)
It means learning to move with confidence, not fear.
It means you need a system designed FOR hypermobile bodies, not against them.
AND you need someone to guide you through the process, community to lean on, and a workout that can be done at your own pace, at the most basic level.
Stop the “no pain-no gain” BS.
Stop the guilt, the pain-flare cycle and the disappointment of starting and stopping due to injury.
The way you've been misguided about your body is the problem.
You have different physiology. You aren't working with the same type of materials in which to build your foundation. (Think...cardboard vs wood). And the nerves around your body are caught up in a web of tissue that is inflamed. Sounds awful, right?
For some, yes. BUT, you, my friend, need to know something.
You can be BOTH.
(Not Jenny) And I'm so happy you found me!
I'm Jenn Paa — physical therapist, Pilates instructor, and a fellow hypermobile human who has spent nearly 30 years figuring out how to make movement work for everyone.
My path here was anything but straight. Cardiac rehab. Corporate wellness. Massage therapy. Pilates. Physical therapy. Each stop taught me something different about how the human body works — and how wildly different that can look from person to person.
These days I work primarily with people who have hEDS and hypermobility spectrum disorders, and I've built enough of a reputation in Greensboro that sports medicine and family practice doctors send their most complex patients my way. I take that trust seriously.
My approach is equal parts compassionate and no-nonsense — because you deserve both. I'm not going to tell you everything is fine when it isn't. And I'm not going to let you believe your body is too "out of whack" to get strong. Because it isn't. And please stop saying that!
Your body was built to move. My job is to help you figure out how.
Audio Lesson
Take a listen to this lesson from Hyper/Strong
In this audio lesson, I discuss important principles of strength training particularly for those with hypermobile EDS or related conditions. I emphasize that while the "regular" principles still apply, your body has a unique challenge!
Focus on body awareness and control rather than just muscle strength. What you CAN do is more important than what you can't. And don't rush it. We have our whole damn lives to exercise!

“Working with Jen has helped me immensely! The exercises have allowed me to function better and with less pain. She has also taught me how to be more aware of my range of motion. She helps me feel more confident that I won't be injured when performing various tasks and movements. I cannot recommend her enough!”
"Best PT lady I know! I still use all of your tips! I trust all the things you’ve ever said! Seriously has changed my life!"
"Jennifer’s trifecta of Physical therapy, Pilates and massage therapy education gives her an understanding of body mechanics and functional healing I have never encountered elsewhere in the industry. When my daughter had surgery it was Jennifer I trusted to guide her through her post-surgery physical therapy workouts. I’ve witnessed Jennifer support clients with multiple injuries in clinical therapy, group therapy and 1:1 settings. I continue to be in awe of how she supports and empowers her clients. Jennifer’s approach brings safety to movement”.
“As an active older adult. I have worked with Jen Paa for over 7 years in her capacity as a PT and Pilates instructor. She has helped me work through back and shoulder issues as well as rehab for two successful hip replacement surgeries. She is caring and compassionate and listens to your needs. She observes your abilities in order to help map your wellness journey. With this experience she acts as a coach who can help you set goals that will improve your health, stamina and outlook for healthier lifestyle”
